Tired of your boring ol’ chapstick? Change it up! With FusionBeauty’s LipFusion Balm. It’s super glam ( it comes in a shiny metal case ) and glides on really smooth.

Not only does it promise to hydrate and repair dry/broken lips but it’s also proven to plump up your lips because it “increases the water content of the skin by 6000% in four weeks”.
Who would of thought a lip balm could do that?
A MUAH! Makeup Tip: For a gorgeous pout, always apply lip balm before a lipstick/gloss application.
I’m pretty old school when it comes to skin care. I use what works and only stray when desperate. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts I’m a sucker for samples and will try ANY beauty product thrown my way. What can I say? I’m a total beauty sucker.
When I received a sample of Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash I was more open to trying it than usual because I have combination skin and this product promises to balance it out.

“Broad leaf kelp banishes excess oil, while wheat protein nourishes dry zones. Water-activated tourmaline whisks away dirt and makeup, and an essential oil blend of bergamot, lavender, and spearmint adds a refreshing touch. Skin is left smoother and more even-toned.” - Birchbox.com
Within the first use, I automatically noticed the difference between this face wash and my old school face wash. Not only does it create this soft frothy lather, but I’ve never washed my face with something so gentle.
Ending Result? Not a trace of makeup, No “tight face” feeling, and bye-bye oily t-zone. For $19.00 this is definitely a steal.
How do you ask? Treat yourself to a salt scrub. I’m not talking about your bar of soap that has little beads in it either. I’m talking about a grainy, delicious smelling salt scrub.

Steal! Shea Body Scrub from The Body Shop - My skin is always baby soft due to antioxidants vitamin A and E & soy oil so I never use any lotion after. I can never stop smelling my skin after every use in the shower. ( Retail: $18.00 )

Splurge! Dirt. Luxe Salt Scrub in Lemon Leaf - I scored a sample from my Birchbox & brought it on my vaca. The french sea salt & super rich oils ( grape seed oil & avocado oil ) in this scrub left my skin so touchable. The lemony scent also gave my spirit an energizing boost. ( Retail: $45.00 )
Doesn’t matter which scrub is your poison, an application is only needed 1-2 times a week. Rub neck to toes and make sure to concentrate on dry areas to really replenish your skin and give it the TLC it needs.

Just scored this SUPER cute and super girly “Go-Go Travel Set” ( Mini Blow Dryer and Mini Flat Iron ) from Amika at the International Beauty Show here in New York City. For $40! Usually retails for $80. For more info click here.
I plugged in the blow dryer to test it out and it’s actually pretty powerful! Can’t wait for my vaca to really get it a go :D
When we choose our bikinis we are always pastey and pale and have to imagine and picture our tan self and if she would look great in this new bright teal bikini.
Instead of using your imagination use a self tanner the night before you go bikini shopping! You won’t look much different over night but at least you won’t glow in the dark.

Grab Self Tanning Somerville 360 Towelettes By Kate Somerville. I’ve never witnessed such an easy application of a self tanner in my life. Not only was I a healthy shade of tan the following day but I didn’t stink.. at… all. Woo!
We are all used to protecting our skin with SPF while in the sun but most of us forget to protect our hair too!
If you color or treat your hair it is SUPER crucial to protect your strands while in the sun for long periods of time.
The sun will either;
1) Change the color of your pretty locks or
2) Dry and fry your ends ( especially if you’ve been in a pool )
My solution? Completely drench your hair in a leave in conditioner and/or serum. Girls with wavy/curly hair use both products concentrating more on the ends. This will start repairing your hair until you’re back at home to leave on a deep conditioner.

My new favorite hair serum is called Amika Obliphica Hair Treatment. It makes my hair crazy soft and smells absolutely delicious.
Not crazy about hair products? Use a hat! A hat won’t protect your pretty little head completely but it’ll definitely do the job.
Too many products, Too little bag.
I myself hate checking luggage. I always try to squeeze everything I own into a carry on so I know my things will never be stolen, broken, etc. The only problem with this is fitting all your beauty needs into a measly little ziplock.
I always collect samples from places like Sephora and Birchbox like I’m collecting gold, But for some reason never always get a chance to use them.

& now is your chance! Pack every little sample you’ve hoarded into that one ziplock meant for your beauty bag. I’m sure you’ll find you’ll have lotions, cleansers, spfs, mascaras, glosses, hair products, etc. that will last you through out your entire trip.
Voila! You’ll get on the plane without exceeding 40 lbs and you’ll fit another pair of heels!
A little shimmer goes a long way, Especially with a bronzed tan.

The Body Shop’s Coconut Shimmer Body Butter is the perfect way to give your skin that quench of moisture it needs after a day of sunbathing. Rub some on your legs, arms and décolleté for a goddess like glow. A perfect accessory for that sexy dress you’re wearing to dinner.

Want color that will stay on your lip?

Get a great lip stain. Tarte Lipsurgence Natural Lip Tint is the PERFECT lip stain that doesn’t dry out your lips. Wear this lip stain at the beach or at the pool and it will never melt or slip off your lips. My favorite color is Joy. A stunning peach shade that’s complimentary on almost any skin tone and will definitely pop against your new summer tan!

Grab Maybelline New York Super Stay 10 Stain Gloss for a more rich vibrant effect. My favorite shade is #120 Berry Heavenly.
I have planned a little Carribean getaway before the summer and I’ve already been planning my beauty appointments / purchases so I can be “barely there” gorgeous through the entire vacation.
I’m sure a few of you have the same idea in mind - SO! Here are my recommendations:
Love full glam lashes?

For gorgeous lashes day and night, get eyelash extensions! Eyelash extensions are applied lash hair by lash hair with a semi permanent glue.
Takes a little while ( usually 1 - 1.5 hrs ) but lasts 2-6 weeks! Sweat, shower, ocean, and sleep proof? This is a NO brainer!
Sites like www.lifebooker.com give deals on eyelash extensions for under $50 on a weekly basis!
Eyelash extensions too much? Make sure to pack a great waterproof mascara; Maybelline NY Falsies Volum’ Express in Blackest Black ( Waterproof )

Want to be ahead of the game this summer? Want a subtle glow to peak through your tinted moisturizer or foundation? Use Jouer’s Luminizing Moisture Tint.
“The formula has light-diffusing minerals, which give skin a soft glow and also smooth over any fine lines. Antioxidants like ginseng and gingko biloba leaf extract help improve skin, and SPF 20 wards off UVA and UVB rays.” - Birchbox.com
I received a little sample in my monthly Birchbox and I used it to the VERY last drop. Most certainly one of the products I’ve been dying to buy.
